Last updated: September 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how SorceryCard (the “Site,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit or use the Site. It also explains the choices and privacy rights that may be available to you.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Site, we may collect:

  • Account information: your username, email address, password in hashed form, profile image, biography, social profile links, preferences, and account identifiers.
  • Content and activity: decks, collections, folders, packages, forum posts, comments, tournament submissions, saved searches, and other material you create or submit.
  • Subscription information: subscription status, transaction details, and limited billing information. Payments are processed by Stripe, and we do not receive your full payment-card number.
  • Information from connected services: if you sign in with Discord, we may receive your Discord identifier, username, email address, and avatar.
  • Technical and usage information: IP address, browser and device information, operating system, approximate location, referring pages, pages viewed, links clicked, timestamps, cookie identifiers, and diagnostic or security logs.
  • Communications: information you provide when you contact us, report content, or request support.

How we use information

We use information to:

  • provide, maintain, personalize, and improve the Site;
  • create and secure accounts, authenticate users, and remember preferences;
  • publish and share content according to the visibility settings you select;
  • process subscriptions and administer premium features;
  • send service messages, verification emails, notifications, and responses to requests;
  • measure traffic and understand how visitors use the Site;
  • display, measure, and improve advertising;
  • detect fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical problems; and
  • comply with law and enforce our rules and legal rights.

Public content and profiles

Your username, profile information, and anything you submit to public areas may be visible to other users and search engines. Content marked “unlisted” may be viewed by anyone who has its link. Please do not post personal information that you do not want others to see. If you delete your account, certain public contributions may be retained and reassigned or de-identified to preserve community discussions, deck records, and tournament records.

Advertising

CMI Marketing, Inc., d/b/a Raptive (“Raptive”) is a service provider of this Site for the purposes of placing advertising on the Site, and Raptive will collect and use certain data for advertising purposes. To learn more about Raptive’s data usage, click here: https://raptive.com/creator-advertising-privacy-statement.

Advertising providers may use cookies and similar technologies to select, deliver, personalize, and measure ads. Under some US state laws, this activity may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or use of personal information for targeted advertising. See Your privacy rights and choices below for opt-out information.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand Site traffic and usage, such as page views, session duration, approximate location, device type, and traffic source. Google may collect this information through cookies and similar technologies and process it under its Privacy Policy. You can use the Site’s consent controls where available, adjust your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Cookies and similar technologies

The Site and its partners use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies. Some are necessary for login, security, preferences, and core functionality. Others support analytics and advertising. You can manage cookies through your browser and, where displayed, the consent or privacy-choices control in the Site footer. Blocking some technologies may affect Site features.

How we disclose information

We may disclose information:

  • to vendors that help us provide hosting, analytics, advertising, payments, authentication, email, error monitoring, security, and other Site operations;
  • to Raptive and its advertising partners as described in the Raptive statement linked above;
  • to Google for Analytics and reCAPTCHA, Stripe for subscriptions and payments, and Discord when you choose Discord sign-in;
  • to the public when you submit public content or make profile information public;
  • when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users, the Site, or legal rights;
  • in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets; or
  • with your direction or consent.

Some links to retailers, including TCGplayer and Cardmarket, may be affiliate links. If you follow an affiliate link or make a purchase, the retailer or affiliate network may use cookies or other identifiers to attribute the referral, and we may earn a commission. Third-party sites and social platforms operate under their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.

Your privacy rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to or a copy of your personal information; learn about the categories, sources, purposes, and recipients of that information; correct or delete information; obtain portable data; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; and opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. You may also have the right to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information and to appeal a decision we make about your request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

You can update certain information or delete your account from your account settings. To make another request or appeal, email us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Where permitted, you may use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof of the agent’s authority and verification of your identity.

To opt out of advertising-related sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, use the privacy-choices control displayed in the Site footer or the choices described in Raptive’s Advertising Privacy Statement. Raptive’s technology also processes opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control where required. The older “Do Not Track” browser header is different from Global Privacy Control, and the Site does not currently respond to the original Do Not Track header.

Residents of the EEA, UK, and similar jurisdictions may also complain to their local data protection authority. Our legal bases for processing may include performing our agreement with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Site, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where the law requires it.

Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including while your account is active, and as needed for security, dispute resolution, recordkeeping, and legal compliance. Retention periods vary according to the type of information and why we use it. Public contributions may remain as explained above.

Security and international transfers

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. We and our providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers.

Children’s privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices, services, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy here and update the date at the top. If changes are material, we may provide an additional notice where appropriate.
